CCSS and Primary Resources
The focus for this blog entry is on Primary Resources, which are defined as 'original sources of information' or 'evidence' created at the time under study. Although some feel that Primary resources are difficult for readers to understand, it is an important for students to learn to analyze, evaluate, and then critically writing about a historical piece by using evidence and information gleaned from the text. Your school library can provide help in finding these important sources of information, often in a well-structured text that provides help with analysis and evaluation. Access your schools Destiny catalog and enter the search term ' Primary Resource' to get a list of what is available.
